30 Years of Navitas: Celebrating our Impact in North America

As Navitas marks its 30th anniversary, we celebrate the incredible stories that have shaped our journey. These stories highlight the transformative power of partnerships, education, and opportunity. Here are just a few examples of the remarkable individuals who embody the spirit of Navitas in Canada and the US.

William Ko, who serves as Vice President of Corporate Services for University Partnerships North America (UPNA), has been a valued member of the Navitas team since July 2006. His story highlights the importance of strong partnerships and our people.

Dr. Jonathan Driver, former Provost and Vice President Academic of Simon Fraser University, was instrumental in the early stages of SFU’s partnership with Navitas. His leadership during the formative years of Fraser International College exemplifies the power of collaboration in achieving shared goals.

Nneoma Ugwu’s journey from Nigeria to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth to a PhD and a career in Washington, D.C., showcases the transformative power of education. Her success highlights the strength of our programs in helping students achieve their dreams.

Sidhant Sharma is an alumnus of the International College of Manitoba. After graduating from ICM in 2016, he successfully transitioned to the University of Manitoba, where he laid the groundwork for his career in technology and leadership.

From his humble beginnings as an international student at Fraser International College in 2007 to his current role as Head of Marketing Services for University Partnerships North America (UPNA), Rodrigo García Rojas Villegas’s journey exemplifies the lifelong impact of Navitas programs.

Dr. Michael Benarroch, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manitoba, emphasizes the positive influence Navitas has had on their international student community. Since 2007, the university’s partnership with Navitas through the International College of Manitoba has created pathways for students to excel academically and beyond.
