Larissa Strong

Larissa is proud to join the Navitas team as the inaugural Executive Director of Western International College. With more than two decades of experience working in international education, in three provinces, Larissa brings an ethos that is student centred and deeply rooted in integrity.

Her experience within international education covers a wide scope including student support, recruitment and admissions, international projects, partnership development and management, risk management, education abroad, and internationalization at home. The part of the work she enjoys the most is connecting with students and supporting them in achieving their goals.

Throughout her career Larissa has supported the Canadian Bureau of International Education in their efforts to support good practices in the industry. She served on the Immigration Advisory Committee for six years and the Board of Directors for five. She is an avid policy watcher and advocate of understanding the nuances in the industry between sectors and provinces.

Larissa has a degree in Political Science from Queen’s University, a graduate certificate in International Project Management from Humber College, and soon a Masters in Public Policy, Administration, and Law from York University. When she is not at work, Larissa can be found pulling weeds in the garden, baking bread in the kitchen, or taking her beloved dog Bubbah out for a cruise.
