New Leadership Appointments at Navitas University Partnerships North America

Navitas University Partnerships North America (UPNA) is pleased to announce the following leadership appointments that reflect our ongoing commitment to strong partnerships and student success.

Darcy Rollins becomes Head of Division for the Navitas University Partnerships North America (UPNA) division.

Darcy brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in international education and government. He began his career with the Government of Manitoba’s International Education Branch in 2002 and later served as its Director, contributing to the development of Canada’s first pan-Canadian education brand and supporting key federal–provincial initiatives, including immigration policy reform.

Since joining Navitas in 2016, Darcy has held a number of leadership roles. As Director and Principal of the International College of Manitoba, he was instrumental in advancing the college’s growth and impact. In 2019, he became Chief Operating Officer for Navitas UPNA, overseeing operations across Canada and the United States and supporting the establishment of new university partnerships.

In his new role as Head of Division, Darcy will continue to build on this foundation, leading Navitas UPNA’s strategy and working closely with university partners to expand opportunities for students across North America.

Sharla Reid becomes Vice President, Students and Academic Success for the Navitas University Partnerships North America (UPNA) division.

Sharla has more than 20 years of experience advancing international education and enhancing the student experience. She continues to serve as College Director and Principal of Fraser International College at Simon Fraser University and interim College Director and Principal of ULethbridge International College Calgary at the University of Lethbridge Calgary Campus.

Since joining Fraser International College, Sharla has built a strong student leadership community and led the development of award-winning student support programs. She has collaborated closely with partner institutions to design faculty-specific initiatives that improve student outcomes across North America.

Sharla is also recognized for her contributions to international student affairs more broadly. She has presented on emerging issues at leading conferences including NAFSA: Association of International Educators, the Canadian Association of College and University Student Services, First-Year Education, and the Canadian Bureau of International Education. In 2014, she was honoured with the Rising Star in International Education award by the British Columbia Council for International Education.

In her new role, Sharla will continue to champion student success and strengthen support initiatives across the Navitas UPNA division.
